Emily Jamea, Ph.D., LMFT, LPC, completed her undergraduate work at the University of Texas at Austin, where she graduated with honors, receiving a BA in Psychology. She then completed her Master of Arts in Counseling with a dual emphasis in marriage and family therapy and professional counseling and later went on to earn her PhD in Clinical Sexology. After her graduate program, Emily worked in both private practice and medical settings before finally opening REVIVE therapy & healing in 2012. Her therapeutic approach is integrated, meaning she pulls from different models depending on each client’s unique needs. She draws extensively from Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, which is rooted in attachment science. She also has training in Cognitive Behavioral Couples Therapy, The Gottman Method, and EMDR. She treats both sexual and general relationship concerns and works with both individuals and couples.
